Helitowcart Adopts Remote Control

Helitowcart Adopts Remote ControlHelitowcart introduces remote control technology to its line-up of ground handling equipment, delivering two radio control projects: one for its heavy duty V1000 hydraulic carriers and one for its light duty V900 electrical carriers.

The company officially presents its solution for the V1061 and V1062 models, both designed for the heavy-wheeled helicopter industry, at Heli-Expo. Extensive attention has been invested into precisely adapting the hydraulic steering system to get the best possible response, precision and power while maintaining 200-degree tight turn capability over rugged surfaces. The development team was thorough in selecting a radio control communication system that offers reliable hardware and ensures meeting international frequency safety management standards. The remote control option is expected to significantly relieve operators who need to work in extremely tight environments such as oil platform decks or extra crowded hangars. The resulting equipment is quickly instinctive and responds surprisingly well to minute commands.

The company plans to extend the application of this new radio control system to the rest of its V1000 series for skidded helicopters. Also planned for mid-2016 is the introduction of the V920 model, a remote-controlled version of the V910 Light Duty Heli-Carrier, introduced a year ago. A first unit has been made, and initial results have surpassed expectations. This carrier is also set to maintain its tight turns capability and precision.

Helitowcart is a manufacturing enterprise dedicated to providing helicopter ground handling equipment and helicopter flight accessories which significantly improve daily quality of life for pilots, mechanics and managers.
