SFS Aviation Co. Ltd. has selected Glendale, AZ-based Worldwide Helicopter Solutions to provide on-site DDAFCS, EFIS and WX avionics systems training at its base in Songkhla, Thailand.
SFS Aviation operates a fleet of Sikorsky S-76C+ helicopters equipped with Honeywell SPZ-7600 Dual Digital Automatic Flight Control Systems, EDZ-756 Digital Electronic Flight Instrument Systems and Primus Weather Radars (WX). The training covers operation and maintenance familiarization and is designed for maintenance personnel and flight crews. The course teaches problem diagnosis, troubleshooting techniques and recommended repair actions. Fundamental system understanding and communication between maintenance staff and flight crew is emphasized to help resolve problems faster and at less cost.
“SFS understands the value in on-site training and appreciates our real-world approach that provides the maintenance staff with system-specific knowledge to solve a problem logically,” says Paul Magno, president and founder of WHS. “A solid understanding of each system function eliminates guesswork and helps isolate faults faster. Our philosophy is that nothing is learned by shotgun troubleshooting, and throwing random boxes at a problem is a waste of time and money.”
