HELIFAB receives EASA approval for its S76 auxiliary fuel tank, which was already FAA and ANAC approved. The auxiliary fuel tank installs in the baggage compartment and provides 62 gallons of additional fuel. The design allows the kit to be installed in combination with an Air Comm air conditioning system and still leaves 13 cubic feet of baggage space. If additional storage space is required, HELIFAB also offers a certified aft cabin area storage net solution.

Tradewind International, LLC, of Janesville, WI, a world-wide supplier of aircraft parts and accessories, is now an official dealer for Chopper Spotter©, considered by many helicopter operators to be the best machine for safely moving light and medium helicopters on the ground. Robinson Helicopter Company announces an optional 43-gallon auxiliary fuel tank for its R66 Turbine helicopter, extending the helicopter’s range by as much as 200 nautical miles (230 statute miles). The fuel tank mounts on a fiberglass tray that installs in the forward section of the baggage compartment. The tank occupies two-thirds of the compartment, leaving space for up to 100 pounds of cargo. Both the tray and tank can be removed when not needed.
 

Industry stakeholders are invited to see the world of Airbus Helicopters’ from a new perspective at the Heli-Expo trade show from March 1-3 at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville, KY. Airbus Helicopters will be highlighting its wide range of products and services with a lineup of five aircraft, including the H125 in law enforcement configuration; the H130 in utility configuration; the H135 and the H145 in Corporate/VIP configuration and the H215 in utility configuration.

Erickson Incorporated (NASDAQ:EAC), a global provider of aviation services, partners with Sterlite Grid to install nearly 160 power transmission towers in the challenging terrain of the Pir Panjal mountain range in northern India using Erickson’s S64 Aircrane. The initiative will be the first time transmission lines are constructed utilizing a precision heavy lift helicopter in India.

Heli-One, the world's largest independent provider of helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, announces it has completed its first proprietary repair in its Poland facility of an AgustaWestland AW139 first generation duct. Heli-One’s facility in Rzeszow completed the repair for a third party customer, making it mission ready in just 10 days.

For the first time at Heli-Expo, Machida Borescopes will showcase its latest addition to the Machida Videoscope family, the VSC-4-140-NLT in its hands-on engine display. The new 4mm Video Borescope fitted with a threaded removable side view adapter is used by engine manufactures and approved for use in helicopter engines.

Finmeccanica, through its helicopter division, hands over to Specialist Aviation Services its first AgustaWestland AW169 new generation intermediate class helicopter. The helicopter is also the first to be delivered to a UK customer and will enter service with Kent, Surrey, & Sussex Air Ambulance following installation of an advanced medical interior by Specialist Aviation Services.

Airbus Helicopters partners with Thales and Helisim to develop and deploy the full flight simulator (FFS) for the H160. In line with the “born ready” strategy implemented by the H160 since the beginning of its development, the FFS will be available to support the H160’s entry into service.

Global members of the International Helicopter Safety Team plan to gather at Heli-Expo next month for a worldwide summit to focus on civil helicopter safety and to share knowledge and advice about reducing accidents.

Airbus Helicopters receives EASA certification for the Rig’N Fly (Rig Integrated GPS approaches with eNhanced Fly-ability and safetY), an avionics enhancement designed to provide automatic rig approaches for offshore operations. First developed on H225, it will also be implemented on H175 (end 2016) and on H160.

Tradewind International, LLC, of Janesville, WI, accepts two inventories of large parts from Erickson, Inc., and Toll Remote Logistics. The combined inventories account for more than 2000 parts that are being added to the inventory of Tradewind International. Inventory additions include parts for the Bell 204, 205, 206 and 212, in new, overhauled, serviceable and as-removed condition.

RAMM Aerospace now offers frameless seat cushions for the Bell 206/407 aircraft. The HeliFab FAA supplemental type certificate SR09522RC eliminates the 206/407 seat frame entirely for all forward-facing passenger seats and will be available for all seating positions in the near future. TCCA/EASA approvals are pending.
