BIGHORN AIRWAYS is seeking skilled A&P aircraft mechanics. Bighorn Airways is a diverse aviation company which includes operating a fleet of aircraft on US government contracts for smoke jumping and para-cargo operations in Alaska and the lower 48. BHA also conducts agricultural operations, charter, and helicopter ops, and is a DOD approved carrier. BHA also operates a Part 145 MRO which specializes in CASA and Dornier maintenance, special mission modifications, avionics installation, and general aviation aircraft support. Bighorn Airways has been a leader in the aviation community in Wyoming and the Inter-mountain West for 50 years.
Due to the nature of our operations, we seek individuals with a high level of motivation, leadership skills, and desire to excel. Experience with Honeywell TPE 331 seriesengines, P&W PT-6A engines, Garmin avionics, NVIS systems, CASA 212 or Dornier 228 aircraft are desirable. Ability to obtain or currently hold a SECRET clearance is also desirable. Initial salary $25-28; depending on experience. Bighorn Airways offers the opportunity to advance for individuals with the skills and motivation to take on leadershippositions. 4-6 week rotation to AK during fire season is required, after eligibility to be carded on aircraft by the Department of Interior.
