Electrical Technician I
Summary Description of Position:The Electrical Technician is responsible for the fabrication, production, modification and installation of electrical components for military systems, particularly in fixed and rotary wing aircrafts. The Technician is also responsible for accurately interpreting technical drawings, blueprints or other specifications to perform these duties and ensure the precision and accuracy of the components created and installed. Description of Responsibilities:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.•Cuts, Strips wire, attaches pins, and assembles harnesses as required•Reads and interprets engineering specifications from text, drawings, and computer-aided drafting systems.•Identifies electrical components and inventory materials issued•Uses a variety of fabrication tools and precision measuring instruments.•Performs other duties as directed.
Minimum Requirements:•High school diploma or equivalent•Technical certificate or military school training is preferred•1 year related experience•Solder certification preferred but not required
