The Opportunity We are seeking a talented Maintenance Controller to join the Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team supporting the stand-up of the Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) project in Oakey, Queensland. The Maintenance Controller will report directly to the Maintenance Operations Manager and be responsible for the coordination and control of Operational, Line and Base Maintenance activity. The primary focus for the role will be to facilitate safe execution of operational, line and base maintenance, whilst striving for continuous improvement opportunities. The role will require travel during the initial stages of employment. Time spent in Nowra, NSW to complete initial on the job training. Initial aircraft training in Brisbane area and Engine type training in Sydney area. Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate the operational, line and base maintenance activities for HATS EC135 rotorcraft, components and support equipment, including preventative and corrective maintenance, and modification programs.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of the fleet plan and aircraft maintenance schedules.
  • Support the coordination of resources to deliver on the line maintenance, base maintenance and modification programs, including manpower, materials, tooling, aircraft components and support equipment availability and suitability.
  • Facilitate the collection and analysis of shop floor data for the base maintenance environment, to identify opportunities for improvement in the maintenance planning and execution processes.
  • Analyse, plan, organize and control the maintenance and modification of aircraft and aircraft components using the applicable Boeing maintenance management systems and tools.

Experience/Qualifications

  • Certificate IV Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics)
  • Ability to successfully interact with co-workers, maintaining productive working relationships to meet team, business unit, and organisational goals
  • Previous experience working on Rotary Wing Aircraft (Desirable)
  • C class MAML (or ability to obtain)
  • B 1.3 or B2 class MAML (or ability to obtain)
  • Experience coordinating line maintenance, base maintenance and modification activity
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of aircraft maintenance, policies and procedures
