This growth continues through 2017, join us and you can build something better for yourself, for our customers and for the world.Boeing Defence United Kingdom (BDUK) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineer (Electrical/Avionic) to work within our UK Material Review Board (MRB) and Manufacturing Engineering (ME) team based out of Hampshire United Kingdom.In this role you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing and planning tasks associated with the modification of the Chinook CH-47 helicopter. Experience in aircraft manufacturing / engineering is preferred, however current manufacturing #8216;Manufacturing Planning#8217; experience is required. Appropriate training in the Boeing planning systems will be given post-employment.As a Manufacturing Engineer within BDUK you will be required to produce and maintain engineering artefacts that are used during modifications such as, Manufacturing Plans, Bill of Materials, Work Instructions and illustrations. This data is used to define and document the as-built configuration of the aircraft modification programs. To achieve this requirement, you will:• Develop and plan manufacturing concepts and strategies to support the modifications and business objectives.• Develop and integrate suppliers, processes, materials, data and technology to meet manufacturing and deliveryrequirements.• Develop and implement production and tooling methodologies.• Participate on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.• Develop, identify and implement conceptual designs and maintains the program architecture for build.• Implements manufacturing plans.• Conduct producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.• Assist in providing producibility information for inclusion in project plans and helps document producibility best practices.• Analyse design/build concepts to evaluate producible design/build definitions.• Resolve technical problems of significant impact to performance cost or schedule.• Coordinate and implement new engineering principles theories advanced technologies and concepts.• Validate and ensure production readiness of solutions to complex problems.• Implement lean principles and technologies.• Work under minimal direction.The MRB/ME team is expected to grow and this post would suit a current engineer who is looking for the opportunity to develop in a growing team within a large organization such as the Boeing Company.UK & US travel is expected.Must be able to obtain a UK security clearance.All information provided will be checked and may be verified.Please apply ASAP for this role as recruitment may commence before the end date.Important information regarding this requisition: This requisition is for a locally hired position in the UK.
