MPP Technical Analyst

customers most difficult technology challenges.  The position to be filled at the BRT Missouri site in
St. Louis is for an experienced technical analyst with a strong background in
metal machining and NC programming.  The selected candidate will be
responsible for processing machining and additive manufacturing related tasks
through the metals development lab and will assist engineers in developing next
generation machining and metals fabrication technologies.  This is a hands
on position.  The selected candidate will be responsible for operating
equipment such as a 5 axis high speed aluminum machining center, 5 axis large
scale hard metals machining center, bandsaw, manual mill and lathe.  
The successful candidate will:

  • Work
    closely with leaders in the field, customers, and Boeings global network
    of research partners. 
  • Interact
    with all Boeing business units (Commercial and Defense, Space
    Security), functions (Product Development, Phantom Works, Engineering,
    Production, etc.) and sites (Puget Sound, Portland, St. Louis, etc.).
  • Engage
    with universities, research institutions, external suppliers and even
    government entities (Air Force, Navy, NASA, DoE, etc.).

  • Requirements for this position include an associates
    degree or higher in precision machining
  • 2 years experience in NC programming and operating
    NC machine tools to produce metallic components.
  • Ability to use machining associated measuring
    instruments (calipers, micrometer, etc).

Preferred Qualifications (Desired

  • Experience in high speed machining of aluminum and
  • Ability to 3D model machine tool fixturing.
  • Experience with Siemens NX programming software.
  • Ability to operate 3 and 5 axis machines.

Typical Education / Experience:AA degree in related discipline and
typically 1 or more years of related experience or an equivalent combination of
education and experience.
