Today the corporate headquarters that oversees the worldwide operation is located at the San Marcos Municipal Airport (KHYI) 1807 Airport Drive San Marcos, TX 78666. Mission Statement'To continuously raise the bar for safety and customer satisfaction while demonstrating an uncommon ability to execute under the most challenging circumstances and the most difficult client requirements'. Purpose of the job:Berry Aviation, Inc. operates a fleet of four U.S. Army LUH-72/EC-145 in support of the Ronald Reagan Ballistic Missile Defense Test Site located in Kwajalein Atoll, Republic of Marshall Islands approximately 2,200 miles southwest of Hawaii. As a Berry Aviation, Inc. employee you will be temporarily assigned duty (TDY) stationed at Kwajalein. This is a single-rated position requiring deployment to Kwajalein on an as needed basis. You must be current on the UH-72A/EC-145. List of Duties:

  • Administratively reports to the Site Manager and Chief Pilot
  • Reports directly to the Pilot in Command during flight operations for which they are assigned
  • Monitors and assists in loading of passengers and cargo in accordance with FAA and BAI policies
  • Administers passenger briefings in accordance with FAA and BAI policies
  • Prepares weight and balance calculations and completes load manifest in accordance with BAI policies
  • Assist the Pilot in Command with flying of the aircraft by either providing a support role or actual hands on flying, as directed by the Pilot in Command
  • Must successfully complete all company initial and recurrent training and testing as directed by the training department
  • Assist in loading and unloading of aircraft during minimal ground personnel operations.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Site Manager or Chief Pilot
  • Transport military personnel via helicopter to and from outer islands in support of the day to day operations and mission requirements.

Unique skills or certifications needed to perform essential functions of the job:

  • Must possess FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate with Instrument and Multi Engine Rating
  • Minimum 1500 Hrs. flight experience
  • Minimum 1000Hrs. as PIC
  • Minimum 300 PIC hrs. with Turbine Helicopter
  • Current FAA First or Second Class Medical Certificate
  • Legally Authorized to work in the U.S.Ability to pass FAA Background Screening and TSA Approval
  • Current Rating R/W specifically for UH-72A Lakota
  • Successfully pass Berry Aviation, Inc. Pre-Employment Medical examination
  • Successfully Pass Berry Aviation, Inc. Security background checks
  • Passport requiredLUH-72A, BK117C2 or EC-145 rating or experience
  • Overwater Experience and HEED/dunker qualified

Physical requirements of the job:

  • Ability to work in confined spacesAbility to manipulate, push, pull, and lift heavy objects in excess of 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to reach and stretch across objects and twist within confined spaces
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, including cold and heat
  • Ability to work in altitudes higher than sea level
  • Ability to remain in a seating position for extended periods

Working in the Marshall Islands include:A small town American atmosphere, no cars (ride bikes everywhere), no rent, no utility bills, meals are provided, golfing, diving, snorkeling, fishing, pristine warm South Pacific waters, sailing, beaching, swimming, craft shops. Resource Responsibilities Management or supervisory responsibility of the job: Typical decisions made by incumbent:
