Safran Signs SBH® Support Contract with The Helicopter and Jet Company

Safran Helicopter Engines signs a contract with The Helicopter and Jet Company (THC) to support Arrano and Arriel engines powering its H160, H125 and H145 fleets. This support-by-the-hour (SBH®) contract formalizes a long-term maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) and services agreement supporting more than 60 engines.

The Helicopter Company (THC), established by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) as the first helicopter services provider licensed to operate commercial flights in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, signs an HCare In-Service contract with Airbus Helicopters to cover THC's fleet of 20 five-bladed H145 helicopters. The HCare In-Service package has been tailored to THC’s specific operational needs, providing the company with parts availability by-the-hour services to optimize the fleet’s maintenance and performance.

Pratt & Whitney Canada, a business unit of Pratt & Whitney, announces that Polish medical air-rescue service Lotnicze Pogotowie Ratunkowe (LPR) has flown 200,000 engine hours on its fleet of 27 PW206B-powered H135 helicopters from Airbus — a notable milestone that showcases the urgent care the dedicated team has provided to save lives.

Garmin International, Inc., a unit of Garmin Ltd. (NYSE: GRMN), announces L3Harris Technologies’ (NYSE: LHX) selection of Garmin’s G3000™ tandem integrated flight deck as part of a U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Armed Overwatch program contract. L3Harris’ Sky Warden™ platform includes the first forward-fit deployable combat aircraft featuring Garmin’s G3000 tandem integrated flight deck.

Airbus delivers the first two H135s to the Spanish Guardia Civil and National Police under the 36-unit contract signed with the General Directorate for Armaments and Materiel (DGAM) at the end of 2021 to supply the Ministry of Defence and the Ministry of Interior. The Minister of the Interior, Fernando Grande-Marlaska, and Bruno Even, CEO of Airbus Helicopters, along with Fernando Lombo, managing director of Airbus Helicopters in Spain, were present at the handover ceremony that took place at the Airbus plant in Albacete.

INGENIO Aerospace (INGENIO), developers of aircraft cockpit and cabin solutions, announces that Bell Textron, an aerospace manufacturer of military and commercial rotorcraft, has integrated INGENIO’s cockpit tablet electronic flight bag (“Heli-Mount EFB”) into the CH-146 Griffon Limited Life Extension (GLLE) project for the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF).
