A new white paper from the Nadcap program states that additive manufacturing (AM), another term for modern 3D printing used to produce prototype parts, is rapidly becoming a transformative technology. Nadcap, administered by the Performance Review Institute (PRI), is an industry-managed approach to conformity assessment that brings together technical experts from both industry and government to set requirements for accreditation, accredit suppliers, and define operational program requirements in aerospace.

Leonardo Helicopters MD announces that the Rescue and Salvage Bureau of Ministry of Transport, PRC (MOT CRS), has signed a contract for six AW189 super-medium twin-engine helicopters, which will be utilized across the coastlines of China for maritime SAR operations. The fleet deliveries will be completed by 2023.
Helicopter Association International (HAI) and European Helicopter Association (EHA) announce the latest advancement in the partnership between the two VTOL organizations. In a gesture symbolizing their developing partnership, HAI has branded an office at its headquarters in Alexandria, VA, with the EHA logo. Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announces a signed purchase agreement for a Bell 505 to BESTFLY, an Angolan aviation company, with the intent to purchase a second 505 within six months. This is the first 505 sale in Angola and West Africa. The first aircraft is expected to be delivered October 2022, and the second aircraft expected delivery date is October 2023. The aircraft will be used for corporate transportation around the country.
