Preparations Continue for Multi-Faceted European Rotors 2023

The organizers of European Rotors are preparing for their biggest show yet, held in Madrid, Spain, Nov. 27–30, 2023, in Hall 9 of the IFEMA MADRID Convention Centre, approximately 10 minutes from the Adolfo Suárez Madrid–Barajas Airport (LEMD). In addition to the European Helicopter Association EHA and the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), the Spanish Helicopter Association ATAIRE is co-hosting the event this year.

Coulson Aviation Continues to Support Aerial Firefighting Efforts Day and Night via Los Angeles County, Orange County and Ventura County Year-Round Contract Awards

Coulson Aviation announces its selection as the only private helicopter operator for the fifth consecutive year to support Southern California’s Quick Reaction Force (QRF) to fight wildfires. Contracting with Los Angeles, Orange and Ventura County fire departments with its fleet of Very Large Helitankers, pilots, and support crews, this new contract extends Coulson’s support of the QRF to 24/7/365, a first-ever opportunity for the company and the counties and the only contract of its kind worldwide.

MD Helicopters, LLC (MDH) announces that Mt Hutt Aviation (MHA) and 369 Ltd have teamed together to join MDH’s network of authorized service centers. Together these organizations will increase the level of service and support to MDH aircraft in New Zealand and the surrounding Australasia region. Currently their combined maintenance services include over 40% of the MDH aircraft operating in this region.

Dallas Avionics announces that as part of its 50th year in business, it will support the 28th annual Teledyne FLIR Vision Awards held in Orlando, FL, at the Airborne Public Safety Association (APSA) annual APSCON conference. The Teledyne FLIR Vision Awards strive to recognize state and local law enforcement agencies for their contributions to public safety through the use of tactical, airborne thermal imagery.

LCI, an aviation company, delivers three Leonardo AW169 helicopters on long-term lease the Italian operator Alidaunia S.r.L. (Alidaunia). The aircraft were all delivered new from Leonardo and are valued at over $30 million. They form part of the LCI and SMFL joint-venture fleet, which now totals 57 aircraft, valued at approximately $600 million.

Le Havre-Fécamp Pilot Station and Airbus Helicopters sign a contract for the acquisition of an H135 to be used for marine pilot transfers. By the end of 2024, the H135 will replace an AS365 N3 Dauphin helicopter that has been in service for more than 12 years. The agreement also includes a 10-year support and service contract covering spare parts, training and logistics services.

PHI MRO Services, a provider of maintenance, repair and overhaul services, announces its partnership with GPMS International, Inc., as a certified installer of Foresight MX, a predictive health and usage monitoring system (HUMS), flight data monitoring (FDM) and rotor track and balance (RTB) platform. With this partnership, PHI MRO Services will install the Foresight MX HUMS system on helicopters globally.

Texas Aerospace Technologies, an aviation parts distributor and parts certification company, announces that it has entered into an agreement with Genesys Aerosystems to expand its HeliSAS distribution into European markets with a specific focus on the EMS market. In addition, Texas Aerospace Technologies will identify and develop new authorized Genesys HeliSAS dealer/installation facilities.
