Leonardo and Sino-US Intercontinental Helicopter Investment (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. announce a further reinforcement of their strategic cooperation in the Chinese helicopter market. During an official ceremony held at the Paris Air Show, the parties announced the signing of a contract for the purchase of 17 helicopters comprising two AW119Kx single-engine, ten AW109 Trekker light twin and five AW139 intermediate twin-engine models. The order is valued in excess of €100 million, with deliveries starting later this year.

Concorde Battery Corporation announces receipt of TSO-C173a, Technical Standard Order Authorization for the RG24-15, RG24-15M and RG24-16 13.6 Ah family of sealed lead-acid batteries. TSO-C173a authorization confirms that the batteries meet the minimum operational performance standards (MOPS) set forth by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and Radio Technical Commission for Aeronautics (RTCA) in DO-293A.

Heli-One, a global provider of helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services, completes Airbus AS332 dynamic component exchanges with a customer in Puerto Rico. The aircraft’s main gearbox and main rotorhead were also recently overhauled at Heli-One’s facilities. The availability of the components allowed the customer to continue to provide services for their utility-based missions with minimal interruption.

(NYSE: TXT) company, and Beijing Yugao Aviation Group (YGA), announce a signed purchase agreement for a Bell 429 during the Asian Business Aviation Conference & Exhibition (ABACE). This is the customer’s first aircraft and will be used for helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) and search-and-rescue transport.

MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI), announces the addition of McMahon Helicopter Services to its U.S. network of authorized sales representatives. Canton, Michigan-based McMahon provides customers with a wide range of helicopter charter services as well as sales and maintenance support. Authorized as a distributor for the full range of MD Helicopters’ single- and twin-engine aircraft, McMahon will focus primarily on the VIP and personal-use market.

Airbus Helicopters prepares to showcase its comprehensive range of rotary-wing products and technologies at next week’s Rotorcraft Asia. The inaugural tradeshow, dedicated to the growing Asia-Pacific helicopter market, will take place at Singapore’s Changi Exhibition Centre April 18-20, 2017.
