United Rotorcraft Solutions Completes Bell 407

United Rotorcraft Solutions (URS) recently delivered a completed Bell 407 to Aero Tech. During a 56-day completion, URS customized Aero Tech’s 407 with avionics and communications equipment, specialized airframe options and exterior paint.

The avionics and communications equipment installed consisted of the Garmin G500H cockpit display system, GNC-420W Comm, the GDL6A satellite weather and GTX330 transponder, Shadin Mini Fuel Flow and Precise Flight pulse light system, along with the Honeywell KY196A VHF. Also installed was the NAT audio control, the Sky Connect AFF System, Forest Service-required Aux FM radio, Artex 406MHz ELT, Bose Series 20A headsets and the Technisonic TDFM136. URS fabricated a new instrument panel for this equipment installation.

Some of the specific airframe equipment installed included the Paravion left-hand “pilot in command” STC and cabin heater/defroster, custom left-side vertical reference window from Tech-Tool Plastics, AAI extended cargo kit, cargo restraint kit and locking fuel cap, DART’s wire strike protection system, floor protector kit and hard points for external cargo and the AFS Inlet Barrier Filter system. The Onboard Systems cargo hook, along with provisions for the water bucket/remoter hook was installed. URS finished with a customized exterior paint scheme.
