Avotek Releases First-ever AMT Logbook

Avotek is now offering a convenient way to log AMT hours. Avotek’s latest release of its first-ever Avotek AMT Logbook is an essential tool for aviation maintenance technicians (AMTs) or future AMTs to record time spent working on various aircraft or components. Dressed in a durable leatherette cover and bound by Plastikoil®, the book is specifically designed to withstand the AMT shop environment.

Current AMTs can use the Avotek AMT Logbook to keep a thorough documentation of their work and track progress. These records are vital for operational safety and are recommended by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

For students, the FAA requires documentation of on-the-job training hours. Students can use the Avotek AMT Logbook to reflect a record that shows proof of training and on-the-job experiences completed at a maintenance facility. The book provides an orderly log format so that students can be sure to have each experience validated by a certificated airframe and powerplant (A&P) technician. The logbook can be used as documentary evidence, in part, to determine if students meet experience requirements for an A&P mechanic certificate.

The log can also be used to record experience toward inspection authorization (IA) renewal. Use it to record major repairs or alterations, annual inspections or progressive inspections.
