G2 Aviation Converts Utility AS350 B2 into Luxury VIP Transport

G2 Aviation, a Transport Canada-approved aircraft maintenance organization (AMO), converts a utility-configured AS350 B2 into a luxury private VIP helicopter. The aircraft was delivered to Helicraft for VIP transport and tours.

“With so few aircraft on the market today, more buyers are discovering the value of converting aircraft to their ideal configuration, complete with personalized finishes,” says G2 Aviation vice president of Sales, Richard Plourde. “G2 Aviation’s more than a decade of detailed maintenance and upgrade experience allows us to perform complete conversions — from model, system and avionics upgrades to the most detailed aesthetic touches — helping owners and operators create their ideal helicopter.”

After arriving at G2 Aviation, the aircraft underwent a 144-month inspection and received a complete aesthetic makeover with new black leather seating, interior and exterior paint, and new Lonseal flooring. The conversion also plans to include a full instrument-panel glass cockpit upgrade — to be completed in the fall — with a Garmin G500H dual-screen electronic flight display, Garmin aera®760 portable GPS, Garmin GTN650H comm/GPS/nav multifunctional display, Garmin GMA 350HC audio panel, and MD302 standby instruments.

G2 Aviation regularly performs upgrades on various helicopter models, including AS350s. It is currently converting an AS350 BA into a B2, which is available to be customized during the conversion process and is in discussions with other customers for additional conversions.
