Summit Aviation Fills Key Position in Government Business Unit

Summit Aviation, a Greenwich AeroGroup company, announces that it has promoted Ben Morgan to the position of assistant program manager and business development representative for PM Cargo and Fleet Support.

Morgan joined the team in 2006 as a part-time fixed-wing mechanic. In 2007 he transitioned to government work as a CH47D and MH47E induction mechanic; as such he inducted more than 100 aircraft in three years.

Continuing to take on increased responsibilities, in 2010 Morgan was promoted to lead various modifications programs and in 2014 he became program coordinator. As such, he managed, mentored and assisted other team leads as well as became familiar with the administrative side of Summit’s business. 

Morgan pursued his education, becoming a certified earned value management analyst, a certified AS9100 and AS9110 internal auditor and a certified project management professional. 

In his current role as assistant program manager, Morgan manages PM Cargo and fleet support in addition to managing commercial customers. In his business development role, he is focused on discovering new and diverse opportunities for Summit.
