Leonardo announces further combined orders for helicopters at Heli-Expo in Las Vegas for a total of 17 aircraft valued at almost 140 million euro for several customers in various countries and for a range of commercial and public service applications. Contracts include a mix of AW119Kx single engine, AW109 GrandNew and AW109 Trekker light twins, AW169 light-intermediate, AW139 intermediate and AW189 super medium types, confirming the strong competitiveness of the company’s modern product portfolio.
TRAXXALL Technologies, providers of a highly innovative aircraft maintenance tracking and inventory management system, announces a partnership with Airbus Helicopters, the world’s leading helicopter manufacturer.
The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) issues the following statement in response to the Feb. 27 announcement from House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman Bill Shuster (R-9-PA) to set aside his proposal for removing air traffic control (ATC) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The proposal was part of House legislation (H.R. 2997) to reauthorize funding and programs for the FAA.
Sikorsky, a Lockheed Martin Company (NYSE:LMT) enters into an exclusive distribution agreement with HABCO Industries to supply ground support equipment products for the maintenance, servicing and manufacturing production of Sikorsky helicopter products. The announcement was made at the 2018 Helicopter Association International Heli-Expo.

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) sees an increased demand for its HTS900 turboshaft engine and is anticipating an additional six to eight new engines to be operating on Eagle Copters’ Eagle 407HP model by the end of the year. Eagle Copters has delivered 16 HTS900 engines to date and currently has 15 in service on three continents.
