The cornerstones of MDHI’s booth (#N5505) will be the Virginia Beach Police Department’s new MD 530F alongside one of six (6) MD 530G attack helicopters ordered by the Malaysian Ministry of Defence. The glass cockpit solutions featured in these aircraft will be FAA-certified and available to all MD 530 airframe operators. 

MD Helicopters, Inc. (MDHI) celebrates the delivery of a new, custom-configured MD 530F with the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO). Officially accepted into operation in February, EAGLE 1 is now delivered to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office fleet, Sheriff Margaret Mims, and the Fresno County Board of Supervisors. With this delivery, the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office Air Support Unit becomes the first airborne law enforcement unit in the country to fly MD Helicopters’ advanced, FAA-certified all-glass cockpit.

Lease Corporation International (LCI), the aviation division of the Libra Group, announces it is expanding its partnership with CHC through the placement of a second Airbus Helicopters H175 aircraft with the operator. The helicopter is due to enter service in December 2018 and will be supporting CHC’s operations in the UK.

Appareo announces plans to expand the AML-STC for the company’s Stratus ADS-B “out” transponders to include Part 27 helicopters. The company will exhibit its ADS-B products at the annual HAI HELI-EXPO convention in Las Vegas, NV.
