Airbus Helicopters’ Racer demonstrator, developed in the frame of the European Research Clean Sky 2 project, performs its first flight in Marignane. The aircraft flew for about 30 minutes, allowing the flight-test team to check the overall behavior of the aircraft. This important milestone launches the flight campaign, which will take two years and will aim to progressively open the aircraft’s flight envelope and demonstrate its high-speed capabilities.

Columbia Helicopters Delivers Two CH-47D Chinooks to ROTAK Helicopter Services

Heavy-lift helicopter pioneer Columbia Helicopters announces it has sold two Columbia CH-47D Chinook helicopters to ROTAK Helicopter Services of Anchorage, AK. The helicopters include Columbia’s original equipment manufacturer (OEM) safety modifications, as well as firefighting and external-load modifications. As a part of the sale, Columbia will also provide full lifecycle sustainment and airworthiness and technical publication services for the aircraft.

The Vertical Aviation Safety Team (VAST), Helicopter Association International (HAI), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the United States Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) together will host the 2022 VAST Global Conference, Oct. 4-6, 2022, at the Hurst Conference Center in the Fort Worth suburb of Hurst, TX. The conference is an outgrowth of the FAA International Rotorcraft Safety Conferences first held in 2015.

CAMO Certification for Heli-One

Heli-One, a provider of helicopter maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) services, significantly strengthens its delivery portfolio by achieving certification as a Continuing Airworthiness Management Organisation (CAMO). The company's operations in Poland have been formally approved under European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) Part-CAMO regulations by the Polish Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), positioning Heli-One to provide new levels of support for customers internationally, underpinning safe and reliable performance of their assets.
