Bell and GPMS to Bring Foresight MX HUMS to the Bell 505

GPMS International and Bell Textron Inc. announce a collaboration to bring the Foresight MX Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS) to the Bell 505 helicopter. The effort expands the portfolio of Bell platforms supported by Foresight MX and will provide Bell 505 operators with advanced vibration monitoring, predictive maintenance insights, and flight-data monitoring capabilities.
The Bell 505 has become a widely used platform for flight training, law enforcement, and private operations worldwide. With Foresight MX installed, operators will be able to automatically capture and analyze aircraft vibration and operational data after each flight through GPMS’s web-based analytics platform, enabling maintenance teams to better understand aircraft condition and operational trends.
The system also enables operators to share HUMS data with Bell’s industry-leading customer support team. With operator approval, captured vibration and flight data can be securely shared with Bell to provide additional insight to assist with troubleshooting and maintenance decision-making. By combining GPMS analytics with Bell’s extensive product expertise and global support infrastructure, operators gain another tool to help keep aircraft available and missions on schedule.
“Bell is excited to collaborate with GPMS to bring HUMS capability to the Bell 505,” says Bret Finney, manager of aftermarket sales at Bell. “Our operators, particularly military training organizations, will see significant benefits from improved aircraft availability and deeper operational insight. HUMS and flight-data monitoring capabilities allow instructors and maintenance teams to better understand what occurred during each flight, providing valuable feedback for student pilots while helping ensure aircraft are ready for the next training mission. Private operators will also appreciate the confidence that comes from understanding the health of their aircraft every time they land.”
"We’re extremely proud to expand our collaboration with Bell and bring Foresight MX to the Bell 505,” says Ronnie Ries, vice president of marketing at GPMS. “Our HUMS solutions are now available across an expanding range of Bell aircraft, including the 505, 407, 429, 212 and 412. Bell has been an industry leader in promoting HUMS, and we’re proud to support their efforts to deliver our modern predictive maintenance and flight-data monitoring capabilities to operators around the world."
