AeroBrigham Receives FAA STC Approval for Bell 505 Accessory Fitting

Longtime helicopter and airplane service center, completion, and heavy maintenance provider, AeroBrigham, announces the completion of a new Bell 505 helicopter accessory fitting designed to improve safety. Developed as an attachment point for utility operations such as personal restraint harnesses during doors-off flight operations, the assembly is now FAA-approved as a supplemental type certificate (STC) component.

Airbus Helicopters, in Grand Prairie, TX, is seeking a manager for its Dynamic Component Repair Shop (DCR). In this challenging but rewarding role, the manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the DCR shop to ensure safe maintenance operations and compliance with all company, FAA and governmental safety rules and regulations, including the aircraft airworthiness.

GPMS announces it has received an FAA supplemental type certification (STC) for its Foresight MX health-monitoring system on the AS350 ‘AStar’ helicopter platform. The initial certification is on the H125 (AS350-B3). The company plans to file a Transport Canada CA and pursue EASA approvals and STC amendments to include B2 variants.

Leonardo announces that Life Link III, an EMS operator in Minnesota and Wisconsin in the United States, has signed a contract for an AW169 and an AW109 Trekker for air-medical transport missions. The helicopters will ensure in-flight critical care and transport patients across the upper-Midwest of the country. Delivery is anticipated to take place in the fourth quarter of 2021. The order marks the entry of the AW109 Trekker into the U.S. for EMS applications and further grows the success of the AW169 in this market.
