Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announces that Global Medical Response (GMR) has signed a purchase agreement for seven Bell 429s with the option to purchase an additional eight, maintaining its spot as the world’s largest Bell helicopter operator in the helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) field.

The new quality-control instrument features full 360° articulation using durable Tungsten-braided sheathing that enables easy insertion and bending through complex environments.

Safran is Proud to Power the Bell Nexus

The first application of the Safran Hybrid-Electric Propulsion System (HEPS), the Bell Nexus, is officially unveiled at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas. The propulsion solution of this multi-rotor vertical take-off and landing (VTOL) aircraft is capable of producing more than 600 kWe power. During ground tests last June the system produced 100 kWe. Further tests will be carried out next year.
