The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation’s approval of three bipartisan aviation measures that would enhance innovation, improve medication transparency for pilots and air traffic controllers, and accelerate the safe deployment of advanced air-mobility (AAM) aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS).

It’s time to let our voices be heard. We need to do our part to participate in the Federal Government’s rulemaking process. The FAA recently published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) titled Mechanic Certification: Inspection Rating and Recent Experience Requirements in the Federal Register. The proposed rule will affect FAA certified mechanics with Inspection Authorization.

Exhaust Repair

Advantage Aviation Technologies, Inc. (AAT) has developed a repair for the EC135/EC145/BK117 exhaust. Recent inspections of this exhaust have found the insulation heat shield blankets to be deteriorated, disintegrated and burned due to the extreme heat. Due to the high vibration environment this part will develop cracks, dents and chafing during normal service.
