Airbus Helicopters and the French Armament General Directorate (DGA) test the unmanned aerial system (UAS) VSR700 for the first time in an operational configuration from a ship at sea. At the beginning of May, the VSR700 performed 80 fully autonomous take-offs and landings from a civil vessel equipped with a helicopter deck, cruising off the coast of Brittany in the west of France.

The Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative executive committee announces Robert Olislagers as senior coordinator of the initiative, as well as announces that the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) have joined EAGLE’s executive committee. It also formally introduces the leads for the initiative’s key focus pillars.
Helicopter Association International (HAI) is hoping you’ll tell the story of someone in the rotorcraft, drone, or advanced air mobility community who’s outstanding in their profession and nominate them for its annual Salute to Excellence Awards program. The deadline for nominations has been extended to Saturday, Oct. 15, 2022.
