Enstrom Helicopter Corporation (Enstrom) delivers a new 480B turbine helicopter to Safomar Aviation (Safomar), its longtime authorized distributor serving South Africa and much of Sub-Saharan Africa. The delivery not only reflects the company’s longstanding partnership but also marks Enstrom's first commercial aircraft delivery since resuming production — an important milestone as the company continues expanding support for both commercial and military operators worldwide.

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation announces it will host maintenance courses in 2025, offering expert training for maintaining both piston and turbine models. All maintenance courses are I.A. Renewal-accredited. Enstrom offers two options for certification: the first for A&P mechanics, the other for non-mechanics to certify familiarization with Enstrom.

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation reveals the development of a new RPM governor for Enstrom piston helicopters. Designed to aid pilots in maintaining rotor RPM, the new governor uses a digital controller and fast-acting servo motor to accurately control RPM.

Enstrom announces the flight of the first new 480B helicopter after reopening just eight months ago. The turbine-powered 480B is the 1317th Enstrom helicopter built and the 255th 480-series helicopter. This aircraft was not built from an unfinished, leftover airframe but by using components procured, machined, fabricated and assembled onsite.

Enstrom Helicopter Corporation regrets to announce that after 64 years of near continuous operation, the company will be closing its doors on Jan. 21, 2022. Due to several financial difficulties, Enstrom’s owners have directed the company to declare Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
