Bell Textron Inc., a Textron Inc. (NYSE: TXT) company, announces that Global Medical Response (GMR) has signed a purchase agreement for seven Bell 429s with the option to purchase an additional eight, maintaining its spot as the world’s largest Bell helicopter operator in the helicopter emergency medical service (HEMS) field.

(NYSE:TXT) company, announces the supplemental type certificate (STC) for the installation of QuantiFLY™, a new aircraft communication unit (ACU) powered by Truth Data, offering a true low-cost, lightweight and fully automatic flight data monitoring (FDM) solution, currently available for the Bell 407GXi and Bell 429. Bell developed QuantiFLY with Appareo and FDM analytics to enable operators to affordably use the data from QuantiFLY to be actionable and drive safety.

The Bucher Group, a specialist in emergency medical systems, announces that its new rescue equipment, H135 AC67 flex, is now EASA-certified on all variants of the H135 helicopter. Further developments by Bucher's engineers of the AC67 equipment, which has been in use successfully for many years, now results in the new AC67 flex.

Construction on the new Flammability Lab at the Duncan Aviation full-service facility in Battle Creek, MI, is to be completed next week. Duncan Aviation’s Engineering & Certification Services is not only expanding the size of its burn lab, it is also expanding its testing capabilities to include the NexGen or Sonic Burner test, also known as the FAR 25.853 (b) Fire-Blocking test.

Safran Helicopter Engines signs a Support-By-Hour (SBH®) contract with State Grid General Aviation Company (SGGAC), covering its H215 and H225 fleets. This contract formalizes a long-term MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) and service agreement supporting a total of 4 Makila engines. The contract also includes the renewal of SBH® support for 14 Arriel 2D engines powering the operator’s fleet of 13 H125 helicopters.
