The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation’s approval of three bipartisan aviation measures that would enhance innovation, improve medication transparency for pilots and air traffic controllers, and accelerate the safe deployment of advanced air-mobility (AAM) aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS).

It’s time to let our voices be heard. We need to do our part to participate in the Federal Government’s rulemaking process. The FAA recently published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) titled Mechanic Certification: Inspection Rating and Recent Experience Requirements in the Federal Register. The proposed rule will affect FAA certified mechanics with Inspection Authorization.

Batavia, OH - Sporty’s Founder and Chairman Hal Shevers received the Edward J. Parish Pacesetter Award, presented by the Clermont County, Ohio, Chamber of Commerce.

The award is named in honor of long-time former chamber president Ed Parish and is presented annually to honor a businessperson living or working in Clermont County. This individual must have genuine concern for the welfare of Clermont County and its residents and have exhibited outstanding qualities of character, citizenship and leadership.

Menominee, MI - Representatives from Japan visited Enstrom at the end of October to accept its last delivery for the year. This delivery marks eight aircraft for the year, completing a total 10 out of a contracted 30 TH-480B helicopters that have been delivered. The turbine-powered aircraft will be used by the Japanese Ground Self-Defense Force to train pilots for their fleet of helicopters. The TH-480B will eventually replace the OH-6 as the JGSDF’s primary training helicopter.
