The general-aviation industry and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) share a goal to rid lead from all aviation fuel used for piston-powered aircraft no later than 2030. The FAA and industry have come together under the EAGLE (Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions) banner to see this mission realized.
The Eliminate Aviation Gasoline Lead Emissions (EAGLE) initiative executive committee announces Robert Olislagers as senior coordinator of the initiative, as well as announces that the International Council of Air Shows (ICAS) and National Association of State Aviation Officials (NASAO) have joined EAGLE’s executive committee. It also formally introduces the leads for the initiative’s key focus pillars.
The Vertical Aviation Safety Team (VAST), Helicopter Association International (HAI), the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), and the United States Helicopter Safety Team (USHST) together will host the 2022 VAST Global Conference, Oct. 4-6, 2022, at the Hurst Conference Center in the Fort Worth suburb of Hurst, TX. The conference is an outgrowth of the FAA International Rotorcraft Safety Conferences first held in 2015.
