The National Business Aviation Association (NBAA) welcomes the U.S. Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation’s approval of three bipartisan aviation measures that would enhance innovation, improve medication transparency for pilots and air traffic controllers, and accelerate the safe deployment of advanced air-mobility (AAM) aircraft in the National Airspace System (NAS).

It’s time to let our voices be heard. We need to do our part to participate in the Federal Government’s rulemaking process. The FAA recently published a Notice of Proposed Rulemaking (NPRM) titled Mechanic Certification: Inspection Rating and Recent Experience Requirements in the Federal Register. The proposed rule will affect FAA certified mechanics with Inspection Authorization.

It’s October 14th and I am up at 0’ dark thirty, drive to the airport, park the car and grab the shuttle to the terminal. Get a cup of coffee and a sweet roll for breakfast and try to remember if I forgot anything. Then get in line with everyone else to go through the wonderful TSA screening process and finally get to the gate and pray that my aircraft is on time. What you say, why don’t I try another profession? And get out of aviation! Are you crazy? I love it!
