Metro Aviation Announces New Division and Additional Capabilities

Metro Aviation is growing its list of capabilities with the creation of Metro Gulf, a new division that adds fixed-wing aircraft to the company’s extensive list of completion services. The new division holds its own Part 145 certificate and will provide maintenance, repair and avionics services to Metro’s existing fixed-wing and rotor-wing fleet as well as external customers.

Guardian Mobility expands its product line and receives Iridium certification for both its G6 and G6-S terminals. Ensuring maximum user experience in end-to-end connectivity, the G6 is the world’s first and only truly mid-band bi-directional 88/88 Kbps terminal in an all-in-one design. The G6-S terminal features the same capabilities and features but allows for an external antenna configuration and is specifically aimed at the UAV/drone and fixed-wing high-altitude market.

Metro Aviation delivers a new H125, the most advanced law-enforcement helicopter completed by the Shreveport, LA-based company, to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Metro collaborated with aviation technology and wireless communications provider, CNC Technologies, to customize the aircraft to meet the Texas DPS’s specific mission needs.
